For example, many television programs have been translated and subtitled in countries where English is not the primary language. This makes it possible for millions of people to watch these programs, thereby expanding the audience for those programs. In addition, some television programs have been translated into Spanish, French, and other languages, which enables millions more people to enjoy them. This has created an opportunity for people around the world to communicate, which might have been impossible without television.

Finally, television allows viewers to watch shows that they may not know much about. For example, a person may not have ever heard of the television show Sesame Street, but they may still enjoy watching it. This is because Sesame Street has a positive message for children. The characters are fun, and each episode discusses an important topic, such as learning to count, sharing, or friendship. As television has expanded the viewer base, it has become easier to produce shows that are educational and entertaining. This in turn has allowed viewers to watch these programs and form new relationships.
